Folding screen smartphone - How many units have the Galaxy Fold sold?

According to the director of business mobile Samsung - DJ Koh, the company sold about 400-500 thousand units of smartphone folding screen Galaxy Fold.

The number was shared by DJ Koh in an interview with the Korean news agency Yonhap. Previously, another Samsung representative had stated that there were nearly 1 million Galaxy Folds sold worldwide.

After launching Galaxy Fold in late February 2019, the company had to postpone the launch date several times due to the vulnerability of screen cracks. Many people believe that with the very high price, even if Samsung sold Galaxy Fold on time originally expected, it is difficult for the company to achieve 1 million unit sales.

Although only achieving about 50% of the original goal, this is evidence that foldable smartphones have begun to be welcomed and the company can spread this product line to the market in the following years.

Samsung is also said to be developing the Galaxy Fold 2 with a clamshell folding design similar to the Motorola Moto Razr . Especially Galaxy Fold 2 is believed to be much more affordable than Galaxy Fold.
