The rumor has been around for some time, Motorola would prepare a foldable version of its famous Razr in the early 2000s. Until now, very little information had leaked on the web, this image is timely. As it is de rigueur in such circumstances, we must take this disclosure with tweezers… and skepticism. It is impossible to know the origin of the leak and therefore the veracity of the document.
Anyway, if this promotional rendering is true, it brings valuable insights. The family look with the old version does not deceive. The thicker lower part – stylistic element of the first Razr – is back, as is the general format. Note the presence of a hinge on both sides of the phone. Small peculiarity, the presence of a notch on the upper part of the screen to integrate the speaker.
This leak corresponds in any case to the sketches that were shared by our colleagues from the Engadget site last February:
A second image reveals the contents of the box of the device. There would be a mini-jack adapter to USB-C (there would be no port jack), wired headphones and what could possibly be a wireless charging station directly integrated in the lower part of the packaging.
