Homemade vegetable broth cubes
To avoid additives and unwanted cosmetic and economic agents , it is better to make your bouillon cubes yourself. Here is the recipe.
Preparation time : 5 min
Cooking time : 40 min
Ingredients for about 100 cubes:
- 2 onions
- About 10 celery stalks
- 4 carrots
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 4-5 mushrooms of Paris
- Coarse salt
- Pepper
- 10 g dehydrated herbs (to taste)
- 10 g agar-agar
- 160 ml of white wine
- 40 ml of olive oil
- Optional: turmeric
Preparation
Peel and coarsely chop onions and garlic. Wash and coarsely cut celery, carrots and mushrooms. In a saucepan, put all the ingredients and cook for 40 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Mix everything and put the preparation on a mat with silicone rim. Refrigerate until the preparation solidifies.
When the preparation is solid, unmould it on a cutting board and cut into cubes.
These cubes can be stored for several months in the refrigerator.
