China Mobile opens its first European data center

Located in the United Kingdom, this infrastructure must facilitate connectivity between Europe and Asia.
The international branch of China Mobile has just opened its very first European data center. Located in the UK in the Slough Trading Estate business park in Berkshire, it includes 1,600 racks. This datacenter is connected to the one that the Chinese operator opened in July in Singapore as well as to its global network center in Hong Kong. The British site serves as a clearinghouse for international networks and provides connections within and between Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Indian Ocean and Asia-Pacific.
We continue to see strong demand from customers for connectivity, cloud computing and content delivery solutions between Asia-Pacific and Europe, as well as between the Middle East and Eastern regions. 'Africa, "said Li Feng, president of China Mobile International. In a statement, China Mobile announced that it is building other data centers, including one in Frankfurt, Germany.
