The Ashera is a very recent breed since it appeared in 2005. Native of the United States, this cat is a pure creation of laboratory thanks to genetic manipulations to obtain a cat which does not cause allergies. It comes from the DNA mix of an African Serval, a Bengal leopard cat and a domestic cat. It is also a very rare breed. It is even a registered trademark since 2007 of the American laboratory Lifestyle Pets who created this cat and who sells it.
