Huawei is already working on 6G

It is Ren Zhengfei, the boss of the Chinese equipment manufacturer, who made this revelation indicating that the cellular technology that will replace the 5G would not be marketable for a decade.

While the 5G is just starting to roll out and it will probably take years before it is widely available around the world, Huawei is already working on its future successor, the 6G. This is what Ren Zhengfei, the founder and boss of the Chinese company said, while taking care to specify that the next generation of cellular network that will succeed the 5G would not arrive before ten years. " We have parallel work on 5G and 6G, so we started 6G a long time ago, " he told CNBC, adding that there was still "a long way to go " before the commercialization of 6G is not possible. 

Meanwhile, Huawei is obviously focusing on the 5G for which he has already signed more than 50 deployment contracts. A GlobalData study, published in June, even named Huawei as the best 5G equipment provider in terms of baseband, radio unit portfolio, ease of installation and technological evolution.

But the equipment maker faces the boycott and lobbying of the United States who decided to exclude it from the creation of their 5G network because they suspect collusion with the Chinese government. Allegations that Huawei has always refuted. To prove his good faith, Ren Zhengfei even said he was ready to grant an exclusive license on his 5G technology to an American company. (Eureka Press)
