According to data from the study firm Counterpoint, the iPhone XR unveiled by Apple in September 2018 would be at the top of sales since the end of 2018. In the third quarter of 2019, it would thus total 3% of market share , followed by the Samsung Galaxy A10 in second position.
The iPhone XR announced in September 2018 by Apple has found its audience. Available for a year, the Apple phone can boast of retaining its first place since the beginning of 2019. According to estimates by the company Counterpoint, market analysis company, the iPhone XR would total 3% of market share in the third quarter of 2019. According to Counterpoint, “the iPhone XR has been the best-selling phone in each quarter since Q4 2018.” Apple had already confirmed for its part that the Apple XR remained its best selling phone in recent months.
In the third quarter, Samsung took the rest of the podium with its Samsung Galaxy A10 (2.6% market share) and its Samsung Galaxy A50 (1.9% market share). In total, Samsung managed to place three of its devices in the top 10 of the best-selling phones this quarter.
Carried by the Chinese market, Oppo is also well placed in the top 10 with three of its devices: Oppo A9 (4th position, 1.6% market share), Oppo A5s (6th position with 1.5% share) market) and finally the Oppo A5 (1.3% market share). Finally, Xiaomi is in 9th position with its Redmi 7A (1.2% market share) and Huawei in 10th position with its P30 (1.1% market share)
Counterpoint notes that high-end phones are declining in terms of sales compared to last year: if in 2018, the top 10 had five "flagships", there are only three in the top 10 of 2019. This development is explained by a better quality of mid-range phones, which now have features sometimes absent from high-end phones of the past year.
