Dell offers subscription model for hybrid cloud deployments

Available with Dell EMC VxRail, this offering enables subscription-based hybrid cloud deployments. The promise is to complete the operation in two weeks.
Dell Technologies launched a new subscription model for hybrid cloud deployments on Tuesday, available with the Dell EMC VxRail. The new offering includes hardware and software, as well as what is needed for relatively rapid deployment, such as support, deployment and asset recovery services.
It is possible to subscribe for one year or three years. The price is set per knot per month, on a basis of $ 70 per knot per day. Deployments are quick, and can be completed in two weeks, according to Dell. The technology giant claims that this new offer corresponds to the “fastest hybrid cloud deployment” in the sector.

"In this era of hybrid, multi-cloud cloud, organizations see cloud computing as an operating model, not a destination," said Deepak Patil, vice president and general manager of Dell's Cloud Platforms and Solutions, in a statement. "They're looking for simplified IT experiences with common operations and cost transparency, no matter where their workloads are."

Always more services on demand

This new offering expands the Dell Technologies Cloud portfolio. It is part of a larger portfolio that contains offerings based on the consumption of on-demand services called Dell Technologies on Demand .
Dell's hybrid cloud strategy aims to link its data center and hybrid technologies with public cloud providers. VMware is the linchpin in this area, allowing the software to stick to a cloud platform that can cover internal and public resources. VxRail allows deep integration into the VMware ecosystem.
