Twitter fixes critical flaw in Android

Twitter recommends updating its application for Android after discovering a vulnerability that could access and even take control of personal data in an account.
In a post posted on his blog, Twitter asks owners of Android smartphones to update their application as soon as possible because they discovered and fixed a critical flaw. It allowed an attacker to take control of your account to send tweets and private messages, but also to read private information such as location and received messages.
This flaw allowed a hacker to insert malicious code into application storage folders to which access is usually restricted. As a precaution, Twitter sent emails or messages inside its application to people who have versions affected by this flaw. The editor specifies that the application on iOS is not affected by this vulnerability.
